Un dia especial

Avui és un dia especial per mi i ho volia compartir amb vosaltres, el 5 de març és el meu sant, no és que sigui una persona religiosa però qualsevol excusa és bona per celebrar i per fer festa. Si aquest fet ja no era prou important, avui fa exactament 10 anys en Sergi em va venir a buscar a casa, encara no ens coneixíem, jo havia sentit a parlar d'ell i ell de mi, els dos ens vam apuntar a una esquiada a Andorra organitzada per amics comuns. Ens van presentar lo normal, Sergi-Àfrica, Àfrica- Sergi, mua i mua, encantada,... i amb menys de 5 minuts em diu: "pot ser que avui sigui el teu sant? Crec que ho he vist al calendari" i jo que li contesto que si i em felicita i em fa dos petons més, jo vaig pensar "mira'l que espavilat, amb menys de 5 minuts i ja m'ha robat 4 petons!" i em va regalar una peça del porta-esquis que estaven muntant que els hi sobrava (encara la conservo).

Aquell cap de setmana va ser molt intens, jo no havia esquiat mai, com que amb la colla que anaven pràcticament tots estaven aparellats i nosaltres vam encaixar de seguida ell va ser el meu profe particular. Per si l'emoció del moment no fos suficient, dilluns tenia un examen de física i havia d'estudiar, vaig marxar amb tots els apunts,... i després de sopar mentre van anar tots de festa em vaig quedar a l'hotel a repassar. El diumenge de tornada estava destrossada, ens esperaven tres hores de cotxe i li vaig demanar si em deixava la seva espatlla per dormir una estona, vaig dormir pràcticament tot el trajecte, aquella espatlla m'anava a la mida :) Els companys del cotxe van fer moltes bromes, es veu que feiem una bona postal. Els vam fer callar, allò típic de què dieu, no sigueu exagerats! ... Aquest cap de setmana va ser l'inici d'una amistat molt bonica i més....

Un altre dia us explico com continua la nostra particular història, avui simplement celebrem que fa deu anys em va venir a buscar a casa :)

Que tingueu molt bon dia

Today is a very special day to me and I'd like to share it with you, March 5th is my Saint day, I'm not a the religious type but every excuse is good to celebrate and party. If this reason wasn't enough exactly 10 years from now Sergi came to pick me up at home, we hadn't met yet, I had heard about him, and he did about me, we both joined a sky weekend organized by mutual friends. We introduced ourselves as ususall Sergi-Àfrica, Àfrica-Sergi, mua i mua, nice to meet you,... and in about five minutes he said: "It is possible that today is your saint day? I think I saw it on my calendar" and I answered yes and he says happy day and makes me two kisses more and I thought "look how smart, les sthan five minutes and he's stolen me 4 kisses!" and he gave me as a gift a piece of the skis carrer that they had left (and I still have it).

That weekend was really intense, I had never skied before and as the group we were with were almost all couples and we really hit it off immediately so he became my personal teacher. If the excitment wasn't enough I had a physics exam on Monday so I had to study, I left with all my notes and books,... and after dinner while they all went out I stayed at the hotel to study. On Sunday in our way back I was exhausted and we had three hours drive ahead and I asked him if he could lend me his shoulder to sleep a bit, and I slept almost all the way, that shoulder was in the right place :) Our friend made fun of us, it seemed like we made a good picture. We made them shut up but that was the beginning of a really beautiful friendship and more.

One day I'll tell you how the our particular story goes on from there, today we are simply celebrating than 10 years ago he picked me up at home :)

Olor a primavera

Bon dia, aquest cap de setmana hem tingut un dissabte genial, va fer un dia magnífic i m'agradaria compartir-lo amb vosaltres i així també m'aneu coneixent una mica més. Vivim al peu del Montseny, i entremig de la gespa ja despunten les primeres floretes de l'any! I sense cap fulla que ens fes ombra vam gaudir d'un cel espectacular.

Good morning, this weekend we had an amazing Saturday, and I'd like to share it with you so you can know me better. We live in the feet of Montseny, and on the grass the first flowers of the year showed by and without any leaf to shadow the table we enjoyed an amazing sky.

Normalment quan fa bon dia ho celebrem dinant a fora i aquesta no en va ser l'excepció, bon menjar, bona companyia i celebrant simplement que era dissabte

Usually when we have good weather we celebrate having luch outside and this was't the exeprion, good food, good company and celebrating just that it was Saturday.

El menú va ser senzill: costella de porc a la brasa i verdures al forn (de llenya) i per postres mandarines.

The menu was simple, pork ribs and vegetables all made at the BBQ and fruit for desert.

Ja havíem acabat de dinar i tocava començar a recollir i ostres! el forn encara està calent! i si fem un pastís? i posem un altre tronc?  Quina hora és? total només son les 4, si hem de fer temps fins que jugui em Barça,... va fem un pastís! 

We had finished our meal and we should have started to clean upand suddenly, the wood oven was still warm, ehat if we bake a cake? shall we add more wood? it's only 4 o'clok, if we have to make time since the football match.... let's make a cake!

I dit i fet! 4 ous, 180g de sucre blanc, 200g de farina de blat, un sobre de royal, mig got de llet, la ratlladura d'una llimona i una poma trossejada, tot ben barrejat i al forn i mitja hora més tard teniem un pastís fet amb llenya! Boníssim!

Perquè les improvisacions ens fan somriure! que tingueu molt bona setmana!

Said and done! 4 eggs, 180gr of white sugar, 200g of plain wheat flour, a spoon of baking powder, half glass of milk, one lemon zestand a chopped apple, all mixed and at the wood oven and 30 minutes latter we had an amazing homemade cake! Delicious!

Because improvising makes us smile! I wish you the best week!

What?

Quan algú em pregunta qui sóc o com treballo no se mai que respondre, sempre he preferit ensenyar la meva feina i deixar que parli per mi i aquest és l'objectiu d'aquest nou blog, presentar-me i que em coneguis :)

Si hagués d’escollir una part de mi escolliria les meves mans, no són perfectes, però són molt especials i si se’m permet dir-ho, fins i tot extraordinàries almenys per mi; és impressionant com de petita esdevé la paraula impossible amb dues mans per fer-ho realitat, la força per no desviar-se i un somriure per seguir endavant.

Això és el que em defineix, Sóc una arquitecta, una mica artista, i m’agrada treballar en equip, també sóc molt perfeccionista, organitzada i tinc set de coses noves. El meu somni és fer coses realitat, petites o grosses, només fer-les realitat. Estic segura que tu i jo podríem fer un gran equip, que et sembla? t'apuntes?

Sóc catalana d'esperit, amb un peu a Girona i l'altre a Barcelona i el cor al Montseny, però el més important és que sóc ciutadana del món. Escriuré amb català i amb anglès, però jo no sóc traductora, el text amb anglès no serà mai una traducció literal del català, aniré afegint els comentaris que em semblin necessaris.

When people asks me who I am and how I work I never know what to answer, I always have preferred to show my work and let it talk for me and this is the aim of this blog, introduce me and let you know me :)

If I had to choose only one part of me I would choose my hands, they are not perfect, but they are really special and if I may say even extraordinary at least to me; it is amazing how little becomes the word impossible with two hands to make it real, the strengths to keep on it and a smile to make it through.

This is what defines me, I'm an architect, a bit of an artist, and a team player, I am also very perfectionist, organized and thirsty of new things. My dream is make things come true, small or big, just make them true. I'm sure that you and I will make a grat team, what do you thing? are you in? 

My soul Is catalan, I have one feet in Girona, the other in Barcelona and my heart in Montseny (my beloved mountains) but the most important is that I'm a world citizen. I'm going to write in catalan and English but I'm not a translator so the English version is not going to be a literal translation as I'm going to coment on it.
